Jack Wise was
a disciplined artist that put a great deal of emphasis on the process
of creating his art. Through his study of Buddhism and Taoism, his
understanding and practice of calligraphy, his careful preparation
of materials and his connection to Canadian art through Canada Council
grants and teaching, he developed his unique style. Learning about
Jack Wise is about looking at his calligraphy and paintings, but it
is also important to understand how he prepared himself to begin understand
his art. The five sections in the Student's Corner include information
and activities to help give a context to the Karma of the Dragon:
The Art of Jack Wise.
